Patpong Night Market

Patpong Night Market

Patpong Night Market is a thriving shopping district in the midst of one of Bangkok's liveliest nightlife zones, between Surawong and Silom Roads.

Patpong Night Market is the place to go if you're looking for counterfeits: whether it's knock-off designer clothing, shoes, CDs or DVDs, and you'll also find souvenirs here. This is a place to haggle hard! Vendors often quote ridiculously high prices at the beginning, so if you find something you want, remember our top tips for finding a bargain and try and get yourself a deal.

More than anything, Patpong is an incredible place to visit for the experience alone. Not really a place for families, its proximity to some of Bangkok's craziest nightlife hotspots means it shares the same vibrant and chaotic atmosphere.

If you like Patpong...

Bangkok has a number of different night markets, and if you like the sound of Patpong, you may also be interested in the following locations too:

  • Asiatique Night Market, located on the banks of Chao Phraya. Head here to buy clothing, handicrafts and souvenirs, or to visit the different food and drinks stalls. Free shuttle boats depart regularly from Central Pier between 4 pm and 11:30 pm.
  • Talat Rot Fai 1 (Soi 51, Srinakharin, behind Seacon Square Shopping Mall) and Talat Rot Fai 2 (Ratchadaphisek, through the Esplanade Mall from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT stop). Both great for vintage finds, whether it's clothes or antiques, and ending your evening with a drink and food from a hipster bar. Open Thursday to Sunday from 5 pm to 1 am.
